Not everyone is buying into Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ love story — and Robach may not completely be buying it herself, according to sources who know her.
Friends of Robach believe “she’s painting a picture of how happy in love they are,” but the pals are concerned she gave up her career for a love that may not last.
After ABC gave Robach and Holmes the boot, Robach “is still saying this is it… [they’re] the real deal, but it’s starting to feel maybe more like — instead of [her] being a firm believer [of their love], now it’s more like she’s trying to convince herself that’s the case,” one source told us.
Another source close to the couple previously told us “they love each other” and described them as “best friends.”
“They’re two consenting adults who ended up loving each other. They were both going through their own hell [in difficult marriages]. They’ve been there for each other,” the insider previously said.
Still, Robach’s friends are worried and “are really trying to get through to her in a way… maybe it’s starting to work a little bit, but she truly feels like they’re in love,” the first source said.
Robach’s pals are also mystified as to why she gave up her lucrative ABC job for Holmes, who “seems to have a real problem” staying faithful, the first source said.
The unemployed former “GMA3” anchors are not joining NewsNation, according to an insider.

“It feels like Amy threw away her career. She’s talented. She’s so good. Why did she do this? How long is it going to last?” the agitated source added.
The former ABC News lovers are now on the hunt for a new network. And despite reports and rumors that they’ll head to the upstart NewsNation, another source close to the couple claimed, “It’s definitely not true. That’s not going to happen.”
